My laptop was in the shop last week and I wish I could show an astonishing amount of progress for the past two weeks, but I'm still slowly trudging through my isolation drills in the hopes of eventually mastering them. The mercedes/CAP combo from two weeks ago has also been at the forefront of my tinkering with turns for the CAP pattern now being a major emphasis. Finally, I continue to practice my buzzsaw flowers to be able to master switching between my dominant and non-dominant hands leading.

I've spent most of the past week doing turning drills with unit circle hybrids, mapping out all four combinations of iso vs extension hybrids. Also--my hyperloops are still ugly, but I'm getting the exit on some of them now.

I think I was mistaken on my categorization of the 1.5 pattern from last week--nonetheless here are some interesting patterns that came from it. Plus: more buzzsaw flower patterns--this time with hands going split-time opposites, more hybrid practice, and patterns with both hands doing trifoil flowers.

The 1.5 pattern in Mireneye's video a few weeks ago gave me a devil of a time and now I think I know why--I think it's a different type of circle-pendulum combo. Here's some theory as to what I think the difference is as well as demonstrating the two in a variety of positions and a couple really odd patterns this experimentation led me to. Plus an update on the hybrid practice technique from last week and I start to play with inversions.

Last week I got a request from a guy who wanted to see me doing some actual spinning rather than just playing with concepts. Holy crap...lots of stuff in here. First off clarifying last week's theory on 1.5 butterfly patterns and extrapolating new transitions and patterns based upon it. Also--do butterfly 1.5s lead to horizontal cateyes? You decide. Transitions from cateye antibrids to cateye/extenstion hybrid, a couple of Mireneye's patterns from his latest vid, some atomic flowers, and a partridge in a pear tree. Sorry about the audio!
