It took me a very long time to learn airwraps--the usual wisdom, that when you wrap up a pair poi and they automatically unwrap never really worked for me. Even more confusing to me was how some folks could wrap their poi both ways. I'd tried doing it in an introverted kind of place and had an epically hard time of it. Then Tracy Wilhelm put out a video talking about atomics arranged both parallel to the native arm and parallel to the non-native arm, which made it click that going back and forth with airwraps could be as simple as switching back and forth between these two orientations rather than outside the arms and in an introverted position. You can also use these in a vertical vs horizontal context rather than vertical vs vertical place.
