I thought I would mark the occasion of having been spinning poi for 3 years with some fire, glow, and a flow practice I did on the beach in St. Thomas. :)
I usually don't believe the beauty contests of people listing off their influences, but I did want to quickly thank a few folks without whom I would have never gotten very far with this tool: Salty for patiently taking me through my first disastrous poi lesson, my old roommate Sipsey for gifting me my first pair of poi--without which I never would have kept practicing, Dragon for the helpful tips when I was just starting out, Nick Woolsey for the poi videos that kept me learning when there was nobody around to learn from, Noel for the mindblowing workshop that came at exactly the right time to show me how deep the rabbit hole was and that navigating it was possible for mere mortals (if anybody is responsible for making me a tech spinner, it's you :), and all the awesome folks I've met these past three years who have taught and inspired me and are far too numerous to list here ;)
Enjoy and thank you for watching!
