Flow[space] - Drex Poi

Back in September, a gentleman named Johari Kazura from Starlight Academy in Singapore came through the Flow Space right after Burning Man just like I did. He had with him a gimbal-mounted camera rig and we spent an afternoon playing with it in the Flowspace.

Tutorial: Double Staff 8-Step CAP Recipe

I know it’s been a while since I’ve done a double staff video, but recently I had a Skype lesson with a double staff spinner who wanted to know all about 8-step CAPs and I realized that it’d make a great topic for a video! Specifically, we covered how you can create a variety of different 8-step CAPs with a very simple recipe.

2016 was my tenth Burning Man! I decided to commemorate the occasion by showing you guys just a little bit of the experience that I had out on Playa, including some great info on my camp, footage from Center Camp, the awesome fire circles that happened throughout the week at the sound camps, Burn Night, and much more!

August Double Staff Flow

A little bit different a taste of flow for y’all--August’s flow session is with my double staves! I’m at Burning Man this week, but wanted to still give you guys a video to enjoy. Let me know if you guys like this one and want to see more double staff work on here!

"California" July Flow Practice

It's been a while since I posted a flow practice! This time last year I was getting ready to move to Los Angeles. I was excited to start over and discover a new life. It didn't work out, unfortunately. I'm happy to be back in DC, but once in a while I think about what might have been.

Following Your Bliss (Isn't Enough)

Last week I got myself in a bit of hot water by reposting an article to Facebook wall that I really liked. The title of it was “Whatever you do, don’t quit your job to pursue your passion” and the thesis of the article was a deep skepticism of this narrative we have in our culture that everybody ought to be pursuing their passion for full-time work.
